What is Reminis?
Reminis is actually Reminis Consulting, LLC, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The name “Reminis” comes from the Latin term “reminiscor” which means “to remember”. The President of Reminis, Vic Mangino, is a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran, and served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. When he formed Reminis in 2004, he wanted to ensure that America’s veterans were not forgotten, whether they made the ultimate sacrifice, had become disabled, or had served their country proudly and were returning to civilian life. You will see many articles and references to the military on this site, including a donation page set up specifically to assist a disabled veteran having an incredibly difficult time returning to the civilian workforce due to his multiple disabilities. We at Reminis are proud of all of the men and women in uniform, regardless of branch of service, whether they saw combat or served 3 months or 30 years. We thank them all for their service.
Reminis started out as a Recruiting company, matching job seekers with companies that needed to find highly qualified individuals with a specific set of skills, education or experience. We found that we often had to rewrite large parts of the resume prior to presenting them to our clients, which led to our recent decision to include resume writing services. The other products and services we provide are all designed with the idea of helping job seekers present themselves in the best light possible, helping recruiters and employers to find them, and generally doing what we can to help put Americans back to work. Too often, the process of job hunting, recruiting, and bringing onboard new talent has been made too difficult. Many believe there is some secret formula or trick they need to know to get their resume reviewed by a recruiter or employer. The whole process, from beginning to end, oftentimes becomes overwhelming for all involved. That is why we have developed our tagline…one which we firmly believe in and try to pass on to our clients, “Simplify Your Business. Your Career. Your Life”.

What services or products do you offer to people searching for employment?
Reminis offers a free, comprehensive resume critique performed that provides honest feedback on your resume. The checklist we have developed has over 100 questions on it, and the reviewer will only check the areas he/she feels your resume could use some improvement. We don’t send the entire checklist since it contains proprietary information; you just see the info you need to improve your resume. If your resume is great as-is, we’ll tell you so. If we think you would benefit from one or more of our services, we’ll tell you that as well. There is no commitment or cost for the critique, and we won’t hound you to purchase our services. The only information required from you is your name and email address so we can email the critique to you. We won’t automatically sign you up for our newsletter, and we will not provide your contact information to anyone else.
We provide professional resume writing services, including packages or individual products geared toward Entry-Level, Mid-Level or Executive-Level job hunters. We also offer additional writing services, such as Bios, LinkedIn Profiles, or just about anything you could need in your job search.
We offer Resources in the form of EBooks available for purchase for a very modest price, often only around $10. These are processed through PayPal (no PayPal account is needed to purchase our products) and are downloadable immediately after purchase.
Reminis offers Resume Writing Tips directly on our site, regardless if you take us up on our offer to provide a free critique of your resume or purchase any of our job search EBooks.
We provide links to some Tools we recommend for use during your job search. If you want to run a background check on yourself, there is a link there to a provider we use and trust. If you need a quick way of distributing your resume, there is a tool for that. If you need a virtual receptionist, a 1-800 number, fax capabilities, etc., we try to provide you with reputable, reasonably priced tools from providers we know and trust.
Reminis also provides a free Job Search Board that includes jobs from all over the country. This board is an “aggregator” search board, which pulls information from many other search boards, including the “big boards” you’ve all heard of and used, to the individual job boards located on company websites that never get posted to the “big board” sites.
Reminis prepares a Newsletter that it sends out approximately once a month. The Newsletter is only available to those who “opt-in” by signing up for the Newsletter on our website. You can decide at any time to stop receiving the Newsletter, and we won’t hound you or try to convince you to continue receiving it. The Newsletter will contain information for Job Seekers, Recruiters, Employers and those wanting information on establishing their own “Brand”.
We also offer website building or “Branding” services. Many recruiters search the internet for resumes via special searches, and having your own website with your resume on it makes finding you much easier for recruiters or HR personnel performing recruiting functions. We offer these sites via two methods: through a partner company that offers templates that are easy to use sites that can be purchased from us, customized via your own personal webmaster and be fully operational within a matter of days. We also offer fully-customizable sites that are more often relevant to Recruiters or Employers wishing to provide a more professional image on the internet, need more functionality, etc. We can build a new site, repair or add to your existing site, or add a multitude of additional functions to your site, including surveys, RSS feeds, contact forms, blogs, etc.
Finally, we offer a form where you can send in a request for a specific service. If we can provide the service, we will let you know and provide information on the costs involved and the time it will take to fulfill your request.

What services or products do you offer to help Recruiters?
As a company that has provided and continues to provide recruiting services, we offer a multitude of products and services that can simplify your business and your life.
We offer Recruiting EBooks, often priced at about $10, that contain a wealth of information that will help make you more efficient and increase your bottom line. Future EBooks will focus on subjects such as Boolean Searches, Best Practices, Forms and Scripts, Business Plans, and just about anything else you can think of.
Reminis also posts a list of Available Candidates that we believe offer specific, hard to find skills. These are candidates you won’t find on any job board or Boolean Search. These are candidates who oftentimes have contacted me directly to assist them in their search, utilized our resume writing services, are passive candidates, or are secretly searching and don’t want their current employers to know. You may also find candidates with active Security Clearances or specific skills that may have been acquired as either a member of the military or as a military contractor. Some of these candidates will be made available free of charge. For the others, we will be asking a modest fee. We will also work with you on “Splits”.
We also host a Job Board where you can post any open requirements you may have for a flat rate of $99 for 30 days. This is a major job board and our price is much less than you will find on other sites.

Reminis offers Recruiting Services much like many other recruiting agencies. Our key differentiator lies in the education, training, background and experience of our recruiters and other staff personnel. For example, our President, Vic Mangino, has over 20 years of recruiting experience, two masters’ degrees, including a Masters in Business Administration, and has been involved in recruiting at every level. In addition to his military career, he also cofounded a multi-million dollar company and served as its Chief Operating Officer. He started and has been President of Reminis since 2004. He spent most of his military career in Human Resources and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Our technical staff can perform virtually anything you can imagine on your website to increase your visibility through the latest Search Engine Optimization techniques, add a blog, contact forms, animation, videos, a Content Management System, Newsletter distribution systems, etc.
